With all the "Whooptido" and arm waving and hysteria is it any wonder that our children are confused?
Schools are now saying that "HE" can use the girls rest room and even the girls locker room because "HE" is "Transgendered".  Who came up with that word?  I will bet it was not Dad or Mom.  Just think back to when you were 12 -13 and all those hormones were running amok, and you were told that you could now use the girls locker room (and even shower?).
When do we pull our collective heads back into the sunshine and be sensible?.....Medicinman!

GUN [OWNER] CONTROL

Last Summer, on August 27, the first Conference on the UN Small Arms Treaty was held.  That conference voted that the Treaty may be enforced without consensus.  George Soros and his money at work again.

Of coarse we know that Obama signed the Treaty and sent it to the Senate where it lies today waiting for ratification.

In the meantime the UN decided that the permanent seat of the "Small Arms Treaty" will be in Geneva headed by Mr. Dumisani Dladla of South Africa.  No small arms in that country.

The goal, of coarse, is to disarm you and I, Second Amendment and the Bible be damned!  Be vigilant, aware, and on guard!..Medicineman!

WHO'S MINDING THE STORE?

In Congressional hearings today we see that there is a serious breakdown in the security of our country.  Those holding visas that have been revoked are lost.  That is Homeland Security and INS do not know if or when they left the country.  The shooter in San Bernadino fell through the cracks, despite her FACEBOOK POSTS for instance.  How many more?
Then we have the Somali Muslims in Minnesota, brought here by Clinton, Bush and Obama who are demanding, yes, DEMANDING, that the State give them pork-free Sharia law approved Welfare Food.  Yes, WELFARE FOOD!  You paid for it citizen.  Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?   There is more but my computer overheated!.....Medicineman!

Donald Trump said it so it has to be bad.  Stop the immigration of all Muslims coming into the USA until Government gets a handle on the problem.  Democrats went nuts, as did many Republicans.  The Whitehouse is about to stroke out.  Guess what?  The people love it.  Just makes sense to most citizens to do this because; we know that not all muslims are terrorists. That's a fact.  But, and a big but it is, every terrorist attack has been carried out by muslims.
In the midst of the great Depression President Roosevelt deported illegals to make room for citizens to have the jobs.  After Pearl Harbor Japanese Americans on the coast were moved inland to camps, partly for their own safety.  We deported others during the war as well.  Although Obama says we are not at war with Islam they are certainly at war with us!  President Truman deported illegals as well to make room for jobs for returning GIs.  Eisenhower did it again in the fifties.  Many in Washington have no clue at all how to protect its citizens and that is a very sad-sad fact!.....Medicineman!

Fantastic Journey!

Having just returned from Bangkok, Thailand I can speak to the amount of security in the Airports in the middle and far East.
On the return trip from Bangkok I quickly learned to hold my Passport in my hand, as I had to show it every time I changed from one line to another.  But when I think seriously about it I am glad for them to be so cautious on those flights coming our way.
The reason I was in Bangkok was to attend the wedding of a young man who came to our neighborhood as an exchange student some twenty years ago.  We were friends then and remained in touch all the ensuing years, thus the invitation.  I was treated as one of the family and pampered as a valuable possession.
Thailand is a country of about 65 million with 10 million of them in the city of Bangkok.  Once known as Siam it is a mixture of many cultures, Indian, Chinese, Laos, Cambodia and others.  95% Buddhist and 5% Christian.  Bangkok has been spoken of as the "Venice of the East" because of the many canals joining the Chao Phreya river which runs to the Gulf of Thailand.
I can now take this trip off my "Bucket List" and, at age 86, I am still in  wonder at my good fortune to have done such a thing....Mediicineman!

ISIS

Today I watch and wonder..............wonder at the stupidity demonstrated by spokesmen for the Administration.  The president continues to lead the effort at more and more stupid remarks when he says that ISIS is contained.  We are lead today by people who do not understand the enemy.  Or they just chose to ignore the obvious.
It is true that not all Muslims are terrorist killers, but it is also true that every terrorist killer is a Muslim.  Our administration refuses to say so.Think for a moment about the name ISIS and realize that the first "I" stands for ISLAM.  Does that sink in and make you wonder why the president just said that in spite of what happened in Paris we will allow thousands of Syrians into our country knowing that one of the attackers entered France with a bunch of refugees?
I recommend that every American read and pay attention to what the Koran says to Muslims concerning infidels.  We are facing an enemy like those the Crusaders off yore faced......Medicineman!

REFUGEE OR TERORIST?

Today we heard from Barack Obama, by way of Turkey, that the terrorist attacks in Paris, as terrible as they were, will not deter us from accepting untold numbers of  Syrian "refugees" into our country.  To his way of thinking it is the American way to take the helpless, etc.
Have you noticed the news photos that we see of these "helpless" refugees.......young men for the most part.  Did they leave the women and children behind?  Why are they not fighting the enemy in their country instead of running?
The American people will not stand for it Mr. Obama.  You must put a stop to this idiocy before we are next!..........Medicineman!

A MAN THEY LOVE TO HATE!

He's smart.  He's articulate.  He has a photographic mind.  He talks well, and direct and they hate him.  Who?  Democrates.....and Republicans.  Those in Congress anyway.
Who is this man?  Ted Cruz.  He drives them all nuts, and he doesn't give up. They can't shut him up and the American people here in the heartland love him and think he's great.  The only place where he is not appreciated is in...you guessed it, Washington DC, that great quagmire of muck and mire, sin and guilt, cheat and swindle and anything else you might come up with....Medicineman!

TRADE LATE NIGHTS IN BARS FOR MORNINGS IN THE GYM

Noah Galloway lost his left leg and arm in the blast of an IED.  His recovery made it's way through the swamps of despair and self pity until one day he realized he was needed.
The love of his three children helped persuade Galloway to trade late nights in the bars for early mornings in the gym.
"I am the first thing my two boys see as a man and that's what they are going to become when they grow up, whether they like it or not.  I have to remind myself of that, and if I am not being a good person they won't grow up to be good men.  And my little girl: I am what she sees in what a man should be.  If I am not being a good man, that's who she is going to find one day, so I have to be constantly showing her what a good man does so she can find that one day herself."....Medicineman!

DO WE NO LONGER CARE?

He is still in the fight.  Trying to stay in the US Army that is, after 11 years of honorable service, and the the award of the Bronze Star.
It seems that back in 2011 SFC Charles Martland confronted an Afghan Policeman, and struck him, for sexually assaulting and sodomizing a local young boy and beating his mother when she tried to stop him.  Then laughing about it.  Did he do it? Yes.  Did he do it for a good reason?  I think so but the US Army did not and want to can him, a decorated Green Beret.  This country has lost her mind.
John McHugh, Secy of the Army has given him a 60 day reprieve to file his appeal......Medicineman!

ANOTHER TRAGEDY---ANOTHER CRISIS---LET'S NOT WASTE IT!

Another Campus shooting with innocent lives suddenly snuffed out by one individual who is tired of testing his skill by just punching holes in paper targets so his warped mind leads him to human targets.  However, he did not choose to test his skill against another armed target--oh no, that would be dangerous.....to him.  So he goes to a place where he is assured that NO ONE IS ARMED!  Less chance of him getting shot at.  Of coarse, in the latest mass murder, he stayed too long. 

But just think how different it could have been if his victims had been armed as well.  But, the signs say: "GUN FREE ZONE."  An invitation to murder.  In the 140 plus school shootings recorded all posted that sign, "GUN FREE ZONE."  WHY CAN'T WE LEARN SOMETHING FROM THAT?    It seems that even the Campus Cop was unarmed; might as well call him the good humor man.

Now, of coarse, Obama again calls for more checks, more laws (that won't be enforced either) and more guff for the citizen.  Why is it always an inanimate object that is the criminal?  If a man stabs his wife to death he gets blamed for her death.  Not the knife.  Recently in this state a man ran over his girl friend with his car and he was arrested for that.  Not the car.  Seems fair!....Medicineman!

THE LOVE OF A WOMAN

Few experiences in this life can measure up to the word "Wonderful", or "Beautiful", or "Fulfilling"'.  But the love of a good woman is one that can and does.  That is not to say that life is a bed of roses.  No, it is not intended to be Utopia.  That comes after this life.  But the truth is that none of us could live a worthwhile and meaningful life if there were no bumps in the road now and then.

I had the love of a woman such as I describe for 64years.  She left this world as she had come into it, confident and unafraid.  In those 64 years this help-mate never wavered from her devotion to God and family.  When ever I had the urge to try something new (however foolish it may be) she led the charge.  When a move was proposed, she started packing.  She followed me half way around the world while pregnant and with a toddler in hand and never a whimper.  The ups and downs of this life never changed her spirit and demeanor.  The love of this beautiful woman produced beautiful children, both inside and out.  Her raising of our children was "Old School", firm but fair.  The results are evident in every one of them.  She left a trail of friends thousands of miles long and wrote wonderful words of encouragement to each one from time to time.  Her favorite passage of scripture was 1Thessalonians 5:11---Encourage One Another!
 And that, my friend, is the love of a woman......Medicineman!

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!

At the end of World War II there were thousands of communists in our government.  After all during the war Russia was our ally and involved in our OSS and State Department among other agencies.  Though many were weeded out in the ensuing years, by the time the Korean conflict started we still.had many in key places.
Today our Government is filled with a different enemy, Muslims.  The closest advisers to Obama are Muslim.  They are in the CIA as well as the State Dept.  They attend our most sensitive meetings and are privy to all kinds of restricted material.
Is the rest of Official Washington silent on this subject because of "PC", Political Correctness and we have come to point where we must not offend anyone, even our enemies?.... Medicineman!

As Lincoln Put It....

YOUR CLIMATE,MY CLIMATE AND OBAMA'S CLIMATE

I am sure that Obama thinks he has the FACTS on the climate but how about some REAL facts?  Does he realize that there are hundreds of volcanoes erupting around the world and each one spews ash and CO2 in huge amounts and we cannot control that?  Does he even stop to consider that one eruption of one volcano will counteract the efforts of the last few years that we feeble humans have tried?  I feel sure that someone has pointed this out to him to no avail.  He is Hell-bent on this course and will not be dissuaded by facts.
The fact is that CO2 is necessary for the growth of all plants and trees.  These, in turn, convert it to O2, Oxygen,  which all living things must have in great abundance.  You and I would be in dire straits without CO2!.....Medicineman!

FREE SPEECH UNDER THE "GUN"

I do not like being an "alarmist" and calling from the rooftops, 'Beware--Beware' but, from time to time it is necessary........as NOW!
The State Department has "International Traffic in Arms Regulations" to govern who can sell things like fighter jets and missiles to foreigners.  Well now President Obama wants to include YOU among those nations if you talk to a friend or send him info on how to reload a round or some other technical information about guns. 
Obama has rewrote the ITAR regs. to make it illegal to share that technical information on gun repair, gun parts or ammo on the internet or in e-mail, etc.  The penalties?  Oh yes, the penalties.  They are quite stiff.  Say you are found guilty, the fines could be up to 1 million dollars and 20 yrs in jail.  Welcome to "Hope and Change".
Do I have to tell you to write your reps in Washington?....Medicineman!

LISTEN UP CHRISTIAN!

President Eisenhower established a National Day of Prayer to be observed once a year.  President Reagan set May 1, 1988 The National Day of Prayer observed. 
In June, 2007 candidate Obama made the comment in a speech that "The United States is no longer a Christian nation!"  Then in 2009 President Obama canceled the 21st National Day of  Prayer BUT, then, on September 25th he invited the Muslims to the White House for prayer.....with him.  Some 50,000 converged on Washington for that little tete-a-tete.  Nuff said!...... Medicineman!

Sign What? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!

All this time, months and months, and this is all we get?  The agreement Kerry and the boys signed on to and are bragging so about is so lousy it is would be funny, if it weren't so tragic.
Instead of walking away from the table with our four citizens in tow our team decided to give the enemy the store and brag about it.  What about the four guys in jail?  Oh yeah--"Were workin'  on it."....Medicine man!

Now the world knows.  Now we can all see what "Planned Parenthood" is really all about; "Tots for Toys".
Deborah Nucatola is National Senior Director of  "Medical Services" for Planned Parenthood.   She is caught on tape eating and drinking wine while selling valuable and sought after body parts of aborted babies.  Livers and hearts among the best parts and on and on.  GAG-GAG-GAG!
What has this country come to that we allow such a waste of human life.  Why do we put up with the death of millions in this fashion and call it "planned" parenthood?  Medicicneman!I

Blessing to Curse

When I graduated from Pharmacy School in 1951 the drug heroin had been a legal pain killer until some 15 years earlier.  Combating pain was always the goal of medicine for the simple reason that if a physician cannot relieve his patient's pain he has failed that patient.  Heroin did relieve pain but also was very addictive.  It had to go. 
Now, in many places, we see marijuana used legally in many states while, at the same time, still illegal federally.  How that plays out is still up in the air.  The push is for "medical marijuana" as the starting point.  However, now we see it in cookies and candy and even in drinks.  The cannabis oil is being touted for seizures as well as for pain.  If it works for the patient then I am for it.  But, and a big but it is, we must do it right.  If the active ingredient is put in tablet form and made available to the pharmacist for dispensing by physician's prescription I am for it.  No other way will do!  Pot sold from so called "medical marijuana" stores is a joke!...... Medicineman!

Another Flop....Ho-Hum!

Archuleta is gone.  The boss at OPM, Office of Personnel Management stepped down amid pressure from all angles in the wake of the security breach. 
Things like this happen because of the age old practice of rewarding political hacks for services.  Archulets managed Obama's election in 2012.   She became boss in OPM in 2013.  A job she had no background in.  OPM is supposed to protect private information and now it's thought China got the goods on millions of citizens.  So goes the Obama freight train!  Medicineman.

NEW YORK TIMES NEW LOW

When Muslims took offense at a satirical cartoon convention and tried to shoot it up the New York Times would not publish the cartoon that triggered the attack.  They wanted to be "sensitive."  But they did publish the cartoons of the Pope covered with condoms.  I guess they thought that was "funny."  Is it any wonder they can't sell papers?....Medicineman!

SUPREME JUSTIS????

Today SCOTUS handed the Executive branch another victory in its effort to manipulate the US Constitution.  Instead of the three branches of our Federal Government doing the job handed to them by the Founders SCOTUS has chosen to join hands with Executive against Legislative.
Yesterday they said that Legislative did not really mean what they said in the ACA so they changed it.  Today SCOTUS decided that those states with laws that stated "Marriage is between Man and Woman" actually meant to include gays and lesbians as well.  What else can we look for?????medicineman

The Court Did It Again!

Today the USSP, Supreme Court of this United States in all their Wisdom? took it upon themselves to decide that Congress really did not mean what the ACA said.  According to the lawyers on the BIG bench the U.S. Congress really meant the subsidies to pay your premiums be available for EVERYONE, whether or not it was a State Exchange.  I guess it's just too hard for this lowly citizen to understand how judges think??????Medicineman.

Fathers Day

To all you fathers in the reading public, listen up!  Your children will do their best this coming weekend to make you feel like the most important person in their life.  And you just might be!  

You contribute so much more to your child's well-being than you may think.  And often it is just those silent and hidden examples of life.  Your child will grow up following you around and imitating everything you do; from expressions to manners to language, etc.  If you do not think that is a good idea then you better do something about it!

We live in a time when life has become "selective" to the point that we terminate some million pregnancies every year, leaving all those fathers without a son or daughter to love him and look up to him at this time of the year, and that is tragic.

Children need a father figure in their life.  The son needs Dad to teach him how to be a man and the daughter needs Dad to demonstrate how a real man behaves, giving her the ability to make good choices.  Therefore, you are so important!

To all you young men still thinking about your life ahead and your choice of a mate, remember that any man can be a father, but it takes dedication and hard work to be a Dad!

I WONDER IF????

Recently the country has been exposed to a number of events that give me pause.  For instance:  When a Christian Baker explains that he does not bake wedding cakes for two men who want to get "married" he is called that awful name "Homophobic" and hauled into court.  Then  when a Christian Florist refuses a couple of the same sex when they ask for flowers for their "wedding" there is such an uproar along with court costs and fines and ridicule, etc.  Both cases because of their religious beliefs.  But, of course, with a new word like Homophobic" everyone wants to use it. 
What I wonder is what would happen if those same couples had approached a Muslim Baker and Florist?  But I think I know why they don't!.....Medicineman

Since 9/11 we have been told that "Islam is a religion of peace"...only the Radical Muslims pose a threat.  President Obama warned Americans in a September 2012 UN speech, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

FOR YEARS ALL WE HAVE HEARD IS THAT WE HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN WITH OUR GENDER, OUR SEX, AND CAN DO NOTHING TO CHANGE IT.  WELL, NOW THE LGBT (AND HOWEVER MANY OTHER LETTERS ONE WANTS TO ADD) IS TELLING US THAT PARENTS MUST RAISE THEIR CHILDREN TO BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN CHOOSE, YES CHOOSE, THE GENDER THEY PREFER.  PARENTS MUST TELL THEIR CHILDREN THAT THEY ARE NOT BOY OR GIRL UNTIL THEY CHOOSE TO BE SO.  BOYS CAN WEAR SIS'S DRESS IF IT MAKES THEM FEEL GOOD!

ALL THROUGH THE HISTORY OF MANKIND THE OLD HAVE TAUGHT THE YOUNG.  IT IS THE WAY KNOWLEDGE IS PASSED TO THE NEXT GENERATION WITH THE HOPE THAT MORE KNOWLEDGE WILL BE ADDED AND PUT TO GOOD USE AND THEN PASSED ON TO THE NEXT GENERATION, ETC, ETC.  NOT A BAD SYSTEM WHEN IT INCLUDED THE TEACHINGS OF GOD, GOVERNMENT AND GOOD BEHAVIOR.

IT IS WRONG FOR US, AS PARENTS, TO MESS WITH THE MINDS OF THE NEXT GENERATION IN THIS FASHION.  THE PRICE THE HUMAN RACE WILL PAY IS TOO MUCH TO CONTEMPLATE.......Medicineman! 

TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE..................AGAIN?????

In 2016 the voter lists will be filled with first time voters that have all their life had their ears filled with the name, "CLINTON".  And for the last dozen years Hillary Rodam has been tossed around like some rock star.
In plain words, much is known about this democrat candidate and most of it is not good.  But, will it make a difference?  That is the question.  Do these young voters know, or really care what she has done while in the employ of we tax-payers?
I don't have enough room here to name all the things that Hillary has been involved in lately while destroying the "evidence" leaving no trail visible to the Congressional trackers.
You may say, "Bill did it for years and beat it."  Yeah, but, Billy had the charm and she has the charm of a kitchen broom!....Medicineman

After five years.  Finally!  Those wounded and killed at Fort Hood, 47 men and women, will be awarded the Purple Heart.  GREAT!  However, they will NOT be given medical help.  The reason?  NOT COMBAT.  If being attacked and shot by a Wild-eyed Muslim. shouting "Praise Allah" does not constitute combat I do not know what does????  How much more can we take?....Medicineman.

Choices: Good, Bad and Ugly

Let me start by saying I am a supporter of the Tea Party and have been since 2008.  The will be no surprise to most who read this but let me explain why.
For a long time now this country has had one party, Democrat, and one party Republican.  They used be far removed from one another and voters had a clear choice at the polls.  For years now the Democrat party has eased (or should I say ran) to the left while the Republican party has moved left to fill that gap left by Democrats.  That has left voters a chance to vote for one who wanted to give away everything and one wanting to give away ALMOST everything.
There in a nut shell is why the Tea Party has grown and now elects good conservatives to the Senate, the House and Governorships all over this country, while at the same time filling seats in state government all over this great country.  No wonder I and others love this party!....Medicine man.

President Ted Cruz

Senator Ted Cruz announced for President.  No surprise.  We knew he would.  He has been running all over the country drumming up support.  To the surprise of a lot of both Republicans and Democrats he has quite a lot of support.  Ted is the darling of the Tea Party and is just what a lot of Americans want and, to many, what the country needs.  BUT......can he win?
First of all he will have to beat other Republicans, the Establishment.  That group of long time citizens of "Foggy Bottom".  They don't like him (a mild statement) and he is a thorn in their side.  Then he will have to face the Democrat and that seems to have already been decided with Hillary the only candidate Democrats can come up with. 
Hillary drags an enormous amount of smelly baggage around with her but it seems to not matter to her base, liberals, those who benefit from her largesse and the "low information voter" (thanks Rush).
Plus, the BIG factor; MONEY!  She has lots of it and much from foreign sources.  Maybe we will find a way to condemn that and make it stick......cross your fingers.
Then there is Bill waiting in the wings along with his boatload of garbage and that might be our ace in the hole!  See Ya---- Medicine Man.

President Clinton II

The air ways and print media is filled with Hillary Clinton and what she did or did not do while serving (bad choice) her country.  Foreign monies from obscure and remote sources for the Clinton Foundation.  Official documents belonging to State and therefore Ours, yours and mine being stored on her personal e-mail server while she, only, decides what is Official Business (which is reverse of what the law says) but, after all, she is not just another "Secretary of State".  This is Hillary!
When the dust clears and the shouting and arm waving is all over........Hillary will be the next President.  That is, if she wants to run.  Meanwhile it is fun to speculate on what punishment she will receive!

CHANGE IS GOOD!

An election is held and a new Congress is seated and the first session is called to order.  Then, as we look around the chambers, we see the same faces in so many of the chairs.  One begins to wonder......did we have an election?  We did.  The process is just as it was when the Constitution was written.  But, the people, you and I, have lost control.  Here is what I see.

The founding fathers never envisioned a legislative body considering the office as anything but a part time endeavor, on their part, to run the business of the country.  They wanted to serve and go home.  For the first 100 years that is mostly how things worked.  Gradually that changed.  We now have a system that encourages a "career in government service" as a course of study.  The power to increase the pay and benefits for "serving" was given to those in office with the proviso that the increase took effect in the next session.  After most of them would leave that office.  With many of them continuing in office well into their old age now that proviso no longer does what it was meant to do. 

What we see now is an elite body that can do as they please.  Everything from special rates on haircuts to lunch room fare.  They have a separate retirement plan, no SS, and can opt out of Obama Care.  They write checks to pay for Capital services that bounce.  Even some owe back taxes.  With all this they continue to be elected.

The answer?  How about an amendment to the Constitution, it would have to come from the States and the people, to limit the terms served while at the same time give the power to raise salaries back to the electorate?  Think of the end result.  Influence pedaling would likely vanish.  Only dedicated servants of the people would apply for the job.  They would serve the seat then go home and go back to work.  There would be no reason for that person to run his mouth before the TV cameras because only those in his district would know who it is.  Too good to be true??

YOU SAID IT RUDY!

Mayor Giuliani's comment while addressing a group of Republicans raised a flood of critical remarks from the press (read that liberal).  The remark?  He expressed his belief that Mr. Obama did not love this country.  He explained that every time the President opens his mouth it is to demean the country that he is president of.  That seems like a reasonable statement to me.  How many times have we heard Obama tell the world of all the bad things Americans have done.  He goes way back in our history to dredge up the racial issue, for instance.  He tells the world how sorry he is that we have treated them so badly in the past.  Seems a correct evaluation to me.

However, every one jumped on him like a dog on a soup bone.  Even Republicans (no surprise there) who should know better.  What Rudy said is TRUE.  Everyone knows it.  It is no secret.  But!  No body wants to be "politically incorrect" and be charged as insensitive to the man's feelings.  I say?  HOG WASH!

70 YEARS FROM IWO

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the invasion of IWO JIMA.  The first wave of Marines hit the beach on 2-19-45 expecting the fight to take only ten days.  That was not to be.  It took a total of 36 days with 26,000 casualties including 6,800 dead.  Some 70,000 Americans took part in the invasion with 21,000 Japanese defending almost to the last man.  Only 1,083 were taken prisoner.

On the 23rd, four days after the first wave hit the beach, Lt. Greeley Wells carried the flag to the summit of Mt. Suribachi and planted it there.  Then the word came that the Sec. of War wanted that flag as a memento, so another, larger was raised resulting in the famous Joe Rosenthal photo of the Flag Raising.

The island is now a Japanese Shrine and renamed Iwo To, "Sulfur Island" and a tourist attraction, having been returned to Japan in 1968.  As Secretary Powell once said,"The only land we ever asked for was enough to bury our dead."

FRIC n' FRAC

The news media has been talking about this for, it seems, since 2012.  Who will run in '16?  The usual candidates are parading across the country, pressing the flesh and testing the waters.  All the things that pols do before telling the truth about their intentions.  We see the same old faces and the same old attitudes when it comes to announcing officially.  EGAD I"M SICK!
There is an element of professional politicians who keep saying that the American people want Dems and Reps to "work together."  "Get along."  "Quit the infighting."  All manner of stupid comments about how to "serve the people."  Well, I have a better idea.
In my view the parties should have a platform of ideas to run on.  Then stick to it and run on it.  Not all voters want the same thing and if both parties offer the same thing, dressed a little differently perhaps but the same thing,  where is the incentive to get in the fight?
This form of government, a Republic, was never intended to  "get along" as pols like to say.  Cooperate so more legislation can be passed.  NO.  More legislation is not good legislation.  Good bills come about because they are debated, torn apart, rewritten over and over, and then, maybe, brought to the floor for a vote up or down. Not slipped into a conglomeration of disconnected ideas and passed without debate or even being read by those who vote.  SHAMEFUL!
Demos have only one candidate it seems.  And Reps have too many including those who have been beaten before.  I refuse to believe that the people cannot come up with good runners.  You will notice that I said THE PEOPLE, not professional politicians.  It must not be just "Fric 'n Frac."
